Ruth Helen Slusher (nee Busemeyer), 85, of Milford, died July 1.
She is survived by children Steve, Dave (Jackie) Joe (Joyce), Justin (Kathy), Jennifer (Randy) and Jay (Julie), siblings Mary (Tom) Lucas and Tom (Betty) Busemeyer and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents Frank and Mary Veronica (nee Schueler), husband Bradley, child Mike, siblings Mark Busemeyer, Jane Sweeney, Frank Busemeyer, Rob Busemeyer and Larry Busemeyer.

Charles John Smith, 49, of Amelia, died July 5.
He is survived by wife Brenda Smith (nee Gibbs), children Jerry Boring, Jesse Campbell and Brandon Campbell, siblings Donald Smith, Kenneth (Mary) Smith, Linda (James) McIntyre, Jeffery (Maria) Smith, Richard (Sharon) Smith and Michael (Virginia) Smith, special niece Pamela Staud and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings Mary Ann Tallarigo and James Smith.
Visitation is July 9 from 6 – 8 p.m. at E.C. Nurre in Amelia. Service is July 10 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Pierce Cemetery.

He is survived by wife Angela Hacker, children Dina (Scott) Heise, Scott Hacker and Shannon Hacker and grandchildren Emma and Charlie Heise and Sara and Cameron Hacker.
Hacker was preceded in death by parents Earl and Hazel Hacker.

Rodney Gene Foster, 59, of Amelia, died July 7.
He is survived by wife Elva (nee Louden), children Richard (Kelly), Tommy (Brandy) and Rodney, grandchildren Conner and Chole and brother George.
Foster was preceded in death by siblings Charles Foster and Ricky Armstrong.
Graveside services was July 10 at Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel.

Connie Fenton, 63, of Winchester, died July 6.
She was born in Cincinnati on May 30, 1952. Fenton attended Winchester United Methodist Church and was a nursing professor at UC Clermont.
Fenton is survived by husband Tom Fenton, children Logan (Rebecca) Fenton and Regan Fenton, brothers Doug (Mary) Distler and Alan (Michelle) Distler, brothers-in-law Douglas (Jenny) Fenton and Ronald (Jane) Fenton, sister-in-law Joann (Tim) Jodrey, granddaughter Kennlynn Rae Fenton, several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Opal (nee Schiering) Distler.

Bradley Michael Patton, 26, of Monroe Township, died July 14.
He is survived by parents Marilyn (Bill) Payton and Keith (Debbie) Patton, children Mia Patton and Khloe Patton, siblings Coty Payton, Kathleen Evers, Nick and Stephanie Medeiros and grandparent Vern Adams.
He was preceded in death by sibling Christopher Patton.

Patricia Peterkin, 84
Patricia “Pat” Ruth Peterkin, 84, of Georgetown, died July 15.
Peterkin and her husband raised their family in Avon Lake, Ohio. Peterkin, an RN, was an ICU/CCU nurse in several Cleveland area hospitals including Amherst Hospital, was an IV nurse at Cleveland Clinic and after relocating to Russellville, Ohio worked PRN at Brown County General Hospital. Upon her retirement from nursing, she worked at the John Ruthven Frame Gallery in Georgetown and the Russellville Public Library until her final retirement in 2014.
Peterkin was a leader and district officer of Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, lifeguard, founding member of the White Oak Valley Stock Club, member of the Russellville Friends of the Library, and past member of the Georgetown Herb Club. She loved to snorkel in the Bahamas, canoe Ohio waterways, swim, and read. She taught herself how to sew, re-upholster furniture, knit, crochet, tat lace, cross-stitch, embroider, and quilt. She loved feeding and watching the birds at her numerous feeders. She supported her husband in all his endeavors, particularly his love of gardening.
She is survived by husband Delmer Peterkin, children Pamela (Ron) Sebastian, Cynthia (Darwin) Church, Suzanne (Thomas) Semones and Kenneth (Suzanne Personette) Peterkin, grandchildren, Nicholas (Christina) Sebastian, Abigail (Matthew) Cain, Brian Church, Gregory Church, Molly (S.R. Tilton) Semones, Catherine (Kelly Fitzpatrick) Semones, and Abraham Peterkin, great-grandchildren, Elsie Ring and Emlyn Sebastian and Swedish “son” Bengt Ekman and his daughters, Emilie and Linnea.
Peterkin was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy (nee Sharp) and J. Wilbur Cahoon.
Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. August 4 at the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene, followed by a reception in the church hall. Memorials to the Russellville Library or the charity of your choice.

Melvin C. Rack, Sr., 91, of Cincinnati, died July 4.
Rack was self-employed in the trucking industry and was coxswain in the Navy in World War II.
He is survived by children Melvin (Cindy) Rack Jr., Evelyn (Joe) Spizzica, Daniel (Kevie) Rack, Roger (Carla) Rack, Kevin (Shelly) Rack, Jeff (Karen) Rack and Timothy (Kim) Rack and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
