Charles Venetian, 70

Charles S. “Chuck” Venetian, 70, of Union Township, died July 17.

He is survived by children Ryan (Susan) Venetian and Cara (Michael) Dazey, grandchildren Miles Venetian, Scarlett Rose Venetian, Mathis Dazey, Brooks Dazey and Elise Dazey, partner Ann Marie Drew, former wife Karen Foss Venetian, siblings Kathy and Vincent and stepchildren Chelsey, Cheyenne, Ian and Isabella.

He was preceded in death by parents Charles and Serafina Venetian.

Graveside service is July 22 at 2:30 p.m. at Pierce Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Rebecca Ann Watkins, 53, of Batavia, formerly of Georgetown, died July 19.

She was a truck driver for Pierre Foods and a member of the Afton Weslyan Church. Watkins was born September 25, 1961 in Mariemont, Ohio. 

Watkins is survived by children Jessica Watkins and R.J. Watkins, grandchildren Faith and Jaycob Bowman and Joshua and Jarred Watkins, siblings Betty Jones, Billy Rankin and Harry Rankin.

She was preceded in death by parents Harry and Betty (nee Kirven) Rankin and son Chad Rankin. Graveside services 11 a.m. July 24 at Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown.

Robert Wayne “Bob” Wilson, 56, of Owensville, died July 15.

He is survived by mother Wilma Carpenter, partner Carol Johnson, children Keaton, Kevin and Stephanie, grandchildren David, Natasha and Tonya, siblings Rita (Mike), Tracy and Nola (Dennis) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wilson was preceded in death by father Carl Carpenter and brother Chuck Carpenter.

A memorial gathering was held July 17 at Pattison Park in Owensville.

Richard Homoelle, 70

Richard Homoelle, 70, of Loveland, died July 23.

He was a mechanical engineer.

Homoelle is survived by wife Carol (nee Haverbusch), children Mary Armstrong, Rich Homoelle, Michele Nice and Randy Homoelle, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and siblings John Homoelle, Diane Weber and Catherine Marks.

Services were July 27 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery. Interment Good Shepherd Community Outreach Program.

Vada Ann Harper, 98, of Goshen, died July 25.

She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Harper is survived by children Kenneth Harper and Carol (Thomas) Queen, grandchildren Debbie (David) Chrestensen, Julie (Rodney) Swonger, Kenny (Renuka) Harper, Denette (Bryan) Coleman and Timothy (DeeLynn) Ernst, great-grandchildren Christopher (Janell), Kyle and Kelly Truncer, Tyler and Cory Swonger, Kenny and Priya Harper, Kristin (Ben) Guardado, Kinsey Coleman and Megan and Emily Ernst, great-great-grandchild Luke Truner and sister Elva Capozio.

She was preceded in death by husband Bert Harper, parents Robert and Louvena Conley and siblings Clinton, Noble, Robert, Kenneth and Mamie Conley, Esta Apke, Freda Johnson and Ora Lanham.

Visitation 10 a.m. July 30 until services begin at 11 a.m. at Evans Funeral Home in Milford.

Shelia Green, 66

Shelia Jean Green (Monnette), 66, of Hamersville, died July 20.

She was born August 14, 1948 in Goshen. Green was the founder and member of Yankeetown Quilting Club, and enjoyed teaching sewing and quilting classes in her home.

Green is survived by children Tara (Tom) Estep, Tina (Dan) Stevens and Travis Waits, grandchildren Jordan, Janson, Justin, Cayla and Collin, brother Bill Green, aunt Winnie Quinton, domestic partner Wayne Monnette and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Wanda (nee Blakeney) Green.

An anatomical gift was made to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Green had a “celebration of life” on May 10 with family and friends. Memorials to Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd., Mt. Orab, OH 45154.

Ashley Nicole Goodman-Martin, 26, of Monroe Township, died July 24.

She is survived by husband Adam Martin, children Maddison, Kennedy and Harley Martin, parents Michael and Jacqueline Goodman, sister Heather (Johnny) Kim, niece Matai Kim, grandparents Don and Mary Haas, father and mother-in-law William and Susan Martin and sister and brother-in-law Olivia and James Martin.

Goodman-Martin was preceded in death by grandparents Joseph Lenardo and Herman and Ruby Goodman and brother-in-law William Martin Jr.

Visitation 5-8 p.m. July 31 at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. Services 10 a.m. August 1 at the funeral home. Interment Laurel Cemetery.

He is survived by children Robert and Brittany, mother Helen (nee Howell), aunt Mary Howell, siblings Glenna (Jim) Wheeler, Les (Gina) Frazee, Dan (Tammy) Frazee, Jay (Darlene) Frazee, Lorna (Don) Amiott, Chris (Bobbie) Frazee and Marcy (Rob) Gill, grandchildren Zoie and Darlene Phillips and many nieces and nephews.

Frazee was preceded in death by wife Darlene (nee Cramer) and father Robert.

Visitation was July 24 at Williamsburg United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Services at the convenience of the family.

Roy Roland Davidson, 89, of Mt. Orab, died July 26.

He was retired from US Playing Cards in Norwood, Ohio. Davidson was an electrician and a farmer. He liked to coon hunt when he was young. Davidson was born October 14, 1925 in Hollowtown, Ohio.

Davidson is survived by wife Eunice (nee Rhoades) Davidson, siblings Nora Zell, Pauline Unger, Delmar (Mary) Davidson and Lowell (Joyce) Davidson, sister-in-law – Dorothy Zugg and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents Alva and Audrey (nee Robuck) Davidson and siblings Naomi Brown , Zelma Harker, Shirley Davidson, Phyllis Davidson, Ray Davidson and Millard Davidson.

Colangelo was preceded in death by husband Lucian, son Lucian and siblings Verlin Walls, Emogene Walls, Freddie Walls, Lois Harper and Lucy Toler.

Visitation was July 23 at Life Change Church in Batavia. Services were July 24 at the church. Interment Pierce Township Cemetery.

Jeremiah J. Hall, age 29 of Georgetown, Ohio died Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a welder. Jeremiah was born December 21, 1985 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of Michael W. Hall of Georgetown, Ohio and Lisa L. (Crum) Hollin of Mt. Orab, Ohio. 

Besides his parents he is survived by three children – Kristan Tucker and Samuel and Elizabeth Hall; his paternal grandmother  – Claudia Burton and husband Ken of Georgetown, Ohio; maternal grandmother – Jeanette Crum of Georgetown, Ohio; one sister – Amber Hall of Clermont County, Ohio and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation was from 11-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.

Wayne Cutright, 91

Wayne Art Cutright, age 91 of Mt. Orab, Ohio died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver for the General Highway Express/Central Transport and drove a school bus for the Brown County MRDD and the Chillicothe VA, a United States WWII Navy veteran and a member of the Wilson Sroufe VFW Post #9772, the George A. Lambert American Legion Post #755 of Sardinia, Ohio and the Christian Union Church in West Union, Ohio. Wayne was born March 30, 1924 in Chillicothe, Ohio the son of the late Erk DeWitt and Osie Sybil (Bethel) Cutright. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son – Kevin James Cutright in 2008.

Mr. Cutright is survived by his wife – Margaret “Jo” (Werth) Cutright; one daughter – Paula Jo Cutright of Mt. Orab, Ohio; one daughter-in-law – Julie Cutright of Atchison, Kansas; five grandchildren – James Daniel Cutright and Charity Dawn Whitman and husband Michael all of Florida, Joseph Wayne Durham and wife Melissa of Bethel, Ohio and Wesley Yardley and John Joseph Yardley both of Marysville, Missouri; four great grandchildren – Michael and Karlee Whitman and Danica Faith and Hunter Durham and two sister – Mary Lucille Corrigan of Athens, Ohio and Ruth C. Rice of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Londonderry Cemetery in Londonderry, Ohio. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in the Londonderry Cemetery in Londonderry, Ohio with military services by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard of Chillicothe, Ohio.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
